Born out of a love of cuisine & staying fit, the idea struck Icebound founder Robert Guida one afternoon after a particularly good workout. He wanted to reward himself with a great tasting treat, but he wished there was a way to do so while maintaining his healthy diet. Robert recalls his Italian-American Mother who was ahead of her time & was always label conscious when grocery shopping. She instilled in her children this sense of researching healthier food options. His affection for gelato & artisanal ice cream led him to the concept of combining two of his passions.
